Founded in 2000, IGS is a non-profit, non-governmental, and scientific organization. The primary purpose of the society is to bring together professors and researchers in all fields of Genetics. The IGS responsibilities are to encourage and integrate all efforts by providing a forum for sharing order to cover various issues in all fields of Genetics, the activities are organized in four groups.
